To review the week that was for the Washington Redskins:
1) Sunday: They barely beat the Bucs, 16-13, in another win that felt more like a loss. Offense continues to sputter.
2) Wednesday: Redskins hire former offensive coordinator and current Bingo callsperson Sherman Lewis as an “extra set of eyes” for the offense. They do so without telling Zorn, and without knowing exactly what Lewis’ role is. We believe his official title is, in fact, Extra Set of Eyes.
3) Thursday: Defensive coordinator Greg Blache decides he is no longer going to be speaking with the media.
4) Today: Word comes out that Clinton Portis and FB Mike Sellers got into a heated argument on Monday after Portis apparently asked that Sellers be replaced with TE Todd Yoder:
Apparently, Portis’s frustration stemmed for the ill-fated fourth-and-goal play in the 19-14 loss to the Detroit Lions on which Sellers failed to execute his blocking assignment, Portis failed to score and Detroit took over on downs.
If you happen to catch this Sunday’s Skins-Panthers game on TV, look for the guy in the Portis jersey, crying. That will be me.
