Because I can assure you the Phillies are done with him. Lidge entered the top of the 9th inning with a tied ballgame and all of the momentum in the world. He left the top of the ninth allowing, of all people, Alex Rodriguez to start up a 3-run, two-out rally and make it a 7-4 game, ripping the heart out of Phillie fans for the umpteenth time this season.
Methinks Mitch Williams might want to give Lidge a call tonight. You know, to let him know he's not alone.
