Anaheim goaltender Jean Sebastian Giguere is coming back from his groin injury that he suffered on October 24th and is obviously frustrated with his role in the organization:
"I'd rather retire than be a backup goalie," Giguere said to the L.A. Daily News. "Something needs to happen. You get a guy like (Hiller) that's going to be a free agent at the end of the year and myself, making the money I'm making, either I'm leaving or he's leaving.
"I want to play; that's when I have fun. Right now, this is not fun."
Giguere has been apart of trade rumors to Toronto and at the moment has lost his starting goaltender spot to Jonas Hiller. Hiller is 6-5-1 with a 2.76 GAA and .919 SV% this season while Giguere struggled out of the gate going 0-2-1 with a 3.64 GAA and .895 SV%. Toronto and Giguere would be a good fit for each other. While goaltender Jonas Gustavsson has been good at this point, this pace will not last and he could benefit from the good veteran presence from Giguere.
