How Oregon State Can Win The Pac-10, In Eight Easy Steps

Don't hand the Pac-10 title to No. 14 Oregon or No. 18 Arizona just yet. There's dark horse beaver lurking. Sure, Oregon State is just 4-2 in the conference, with three games remaining. But as SB Nation's Buliding the Dam points out, it may not be that far-fetched. OK, it may be a little far-fetched.

Nov. 14: Stanford wins at USC, Oregon State squeaks by Washington, Cal upsets Arizona, and Arizona State loses at Oregon. (Assume that the rest of the favorites win.)

Nov. 21: Oregon State wins at Wazzu and Oregon will probably need to win at Arizona.

And then it all would all come down to the Beavers at the Ducks, on Dec. 3.

So we need some help, yes.  But I don't think it's a longshot to say things could go our way.  USC is not playing well but we should expect Carroll to get them on the right track.  Arizona has a ridiculously hard final four games. I think they have a better chance of losing out than winning out ... We have the tie-breaker over Harbaugh and if we do what we should up to the Civil War, the opportunity to steal the Rose Bowl from the Ducks is right there.

What's so hard about all that?

Except they didn't squeak by!

Forgot to mention- that was a VERY loud squeak here in Corvallis over the Huskys!
