Jimmy Traina of SI's Hot Clicks is reporting that The Who will be this year's choice for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Some sort of cultural border has been reached when the only Baby Boomer rock heroes not to play the Super Bowl have two members keeping time from somewhere beyond this mortal coil. Repackaging Boomer rock bands will continue next year when The Beatles play halftime with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and their two dead bandmates as represented by their holographic Rock Band Beatles avatars. Tastefully done, of course.
How do I feel about this, though, jokes about half-dead bands from a half-century ago aside? Summed up in one word? YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
