Tennessee Football Players Learn Criminal Ways From Showtime's 'Weeds'

By now you've heard about three Tennessee football players being nabbed for attempted armed robbery. The best detail continues to be the fact that their getaway car was a 2010 Toyota Prius. Sure, it's an eco-friendly way to terrorize Knoxville, but there are other benefits, as U-Turn taught us on Showtime's Weeds. (NSFW language in the clip.)

You see, they just wanted to make a slow, quiet getaway, even if one of the guys was dumb enough to be wearing Tennessee gear while it all went down. (Note: This is the most brazen choice of apparel in an incident involving a weapon with an athlete since Chris Henry's infamous gun incident when he wore his own jersey, which is still the standard bearer.)

No weapon, but the true criminal standard-bearers were the Florida State football players who robbed a teammate’s apartment in May 2006:

"A police source said that among the items investigators found at [victim]‘s home was a wide receivers glove with "1," Rouse’s former jersey number, stitched into the inside of it.  The glove had been left under a color television that had been thrown onto the floor."
