Offsides: Bill Belichick, Is That Your Final Answer?

There’s a thin line between the worst call of all time and the gutsiest call of all time … the first down line, and it was inches away from poor Belichick’s greedy little fingers.

Belichick’s only salvation would be a steady march toward another Super Bowl title where the revisionists would no doubt revise their initial criticisms and declare it was his ill-fated but gutsy fourth and two call that actually impelled the Patriots to another title.

On the other hand … should the Patriots implode and/or fail to make the Super Bowl, that fourth down spot should be forever known as Belichick’s "Faulk Line."

History will tell.
