And while it's obvious that Adams is in need of some kind of reprimand for his actions, I'd argue you need something slightly more creative than merely a fine. If you think slapping a $10,000 fine on a player is easily ignored, just wait until you try it on an owner. How's about making him publicly apologize on the field next week in Houston, where Bud is already not the most popular guy in the world, having shanghaied their former franchise to Nashville.
UPDATE: Goodell laid a $250,000 fine on Adams, or $125K per finger.

Yeah…WTF dude? Because the Bills aren’t enough for us to swallow…now we are getting the bird from a man in his mid 80s.

I don’t get it, when M Vick did it years ago, he got rip, it was in every media’s out let and he was considered the worst person ever to live. So this 80 yr old rich white guy does it, we only have one post and I am sure it will get swept under the table with a paltry fine. America is so hyprocritical, it is not even funny.

m. vick got ripped because people know who he is and it sold newspapers. no one knows who this idiot is.
way to bring up race. we dont need that here or anywhere else.
what was vicks punishment? and did he not flip off his own fans?
but this was a pretty stupid move on bud adams part.

Pretty audacious for the owner of a 2-7, badly underachieving football team. Then again, he virtually flipped the bird to the entire city of Houston a number of years back.

Yeah right, nobody knows who Bud Adams is (do you follow football at all) who has been owning this team well before Vick even got into the nfl. I call it like it is, if you don’t like it, that is just too bad. Treat everybody fairly and race won’t need to be brought up (coaches, owners and nfl players should have to play by the same rules).
Don’t nobody know who Bud Adams is is as redicolus as him flipping the fans off. I wonder wihat the commissioner is going to do about this?

america being hypocritical has nothing to do with this .. sports guru lets be honest the majority of everyday football fans have no idea who this guy is mike vick was a high profile nfl quarterback who im pretty sure every nfl fan knows …mike vick doing that was news…bud adams doing it was just stupid not news… before people read this article most probably thought who the heck is bud adams media outlets cant make a big deal about a guy nobody cares about

race has absolutly nothing to do with this so please don’t try to make it seem like it does because thats just ridiculous

This is classic…is he a Bills fan ? If I were there I’d be doing the same thing
by fbbf on Nov 17, 2009 1:49 PM EST reply actions
Bud Adams is an idiot plain and simple…but I did read something very humorous. A Bills fan that said he did the same thing every Sunday from the comfort of his recliner…now that is funny!
