The Legend of John Wall Grows

I'm making an exception to usually not posting during off hours to rev the John Wall Hype Machine up again.

The video above is the absolutely insane closing sequence from tonight's Miami (OH) vs. Kentucky game at Rupp Arena. Redhawks forward Nick Winbush, who averaged all of 4.1 points last season, dropped in eight 3-pointers and 26 points, and Kenny Hayes stuck the deep 3-pointers you see in the clip above. Still, that wasn't enough to stop John Wall, who flew down the floor and hit a jumper just before time expired. He finished with 19 points, 5 assists (and 5 turnovers).

Still, for a guy with so much hype, when it seemed so impossible for him to deliver on all the expectations, what more could you ask for than a game-winner in Game No. 1?
