I know what you’re thinking. Wha? But if Comcast completes its deal to buy NBC, it would gain the network’s exclusive rights to the Fighting Irish, rights that could be put to savvy use by giving the struggling Versus network a little non-hockey boost. At the very least, Versus could become the home of Notre Dame rebroadcasts — for the ND fan for whom one masochistic Saturday afternoon just wasn’t punishment enough.
