Matt Serra v. Frank Trigg at UFC 109

The Fight Network Reports:

UFC welterweight Matt Serra spoke to The Fight Network on Friday morning and confirmed that he has signed on to fight Frank Trigg at the UFC 109 card on February 6th 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Trigg looked way out of his league against Josh Koscheck and it is entirely possible that time has just caught up to him.  That being said, Serra is no youngster himself and he looked overmatched by Matt Hughes' wrestling in their encounter.

This will all come down if Trigg can be as successful at putting Serra on his back.

As a side note 109 right now has Serra/Trigg, Mark Coleman against Randy Couture, and rumors of both Matt Hughes and Renzo Gracie fighting on the card.  This is all starting to feel very "retro."
