The Washington Redskins, already without starting running back Clinton Portis, just lost their backup, it appears. Washington's Ladell Betts went down in a heap during the first quarter of the Redskins-Cowboys game, and while the severity of the injury is still unknown, it's serious enough so that the Skins will hold him out for the rest of today's game.
Previously, Betts had been considered a bright spot for the Redskins, playing particularly well during last week's win over the Denver Broncos. Quinton Ganther and Rock Cartwright will split the running back responsibilities for Washington. Stay tuned for more news as reports continue to emerge from Dallas.
