The Islanders traveled to Toronto and took care of the Maple Leafs in overtime. Josh Bailey scored the game winning goal with 43 seconds left in the overtime period to give the Islanders a 4-3 win. Goals were scored by Tambellini, Moulson, and Bergenheim for the Islanders and Kessel, Primeau, and Hagman for the Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs had their fair share of chances as they registered 61 shots on goal. Yes, 61 shots on goal.

Martin Erat was the hero for the Nashville Predators as he scores two goals against the Detroit Red Wings including the game winner. Erat had 15 minutes of ice time and 4 takeaways as well in the game. Jason Arnott got the scoring started for the Predators with a power play goal 10 minutes into the first period. Drew Miller initially gave Red Wings a 1-0 lead.

The Rangers score seven straight as they take care of business at Madison Square Garden over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Rangers came back from down 2-0 to make the score 7-2; Marion Gaborik and Sean Avery each score two in the win.

Finally, the Ottawa Senators Mike Fisher scores the game winning goal in overtime to beat the Washington Capitals. Ovechkin has a quiet game with only one assist in 21 minutes of ice time. Brian Elliott got the win for the Senators in relief for Pascal Leclaire.
