Dolphins' NT Jason Ferguson on IR, Done For the Season

Miami Dolphins' nose tackle and defensive captain Jason Ferguson is going to be placed on injured reserve today, ending his season. This from Jeff Darlington's twitter:

NT Jason Ferguson will miss the rest of the season because of a quad injury, Sparano says. Another big blow. Second captain to land on IR.

It is unclear who will fill Ferguson's role in the middle of Miami's stout run defense, but the loss will undoubtedly hurt the Dolphins' already waning playoff chances.
