Despite the rumors to this point saying that Wanderlei Silva would face Akiyama in UFC 110 it appears that "The Axe Murderer" will face Michael Bisping. According to Fighters Only:
"Verbal agreements for the clash have been given, although Fighters Only understands that bout agreements are not yet drawn up. The fight will not be official until these are signed and returned by both men."
Bisping is coming off a demolition of Denis Kang in his last fight. He was beaten up on the feet a little in round 1 but then managed to start to get takedowns where he used his tremendous ground and pound to wear down and stop Kang in the second round.
A fight with Silva represents a chance for Bisping to erase most of the lingering questions from his fight against Dan Henderson where Hendo brutally knocked out the Brit.

Really?
Bisping may be in over his head, but Silva does scare like he used to, specially since he got @$$ whupped by Rampage at 92. He lost to Rich Franklin for God’s sake. At least Hendo was respectable!
