Brittney Griner Throws Down, Announces Herself

Much of the excited talk about Baylor freshman Brittney Griner is thanks to her ability to dunk. It's not a one-time, only-on-the-fast-break thing with her; it's something she's done time and again. Now, it's something she's done on a college campus.

Last night, Griner became the seventh woman to dunk in a regulation collegiate game with the throwdown at the 27-second mark of this video:

She dunks harder than Zach Randolph. And she will again. I would tell you to remember her name, but the powers that be that believe the dunk will save women's basketball will make sure you can't forget it. Instead, savor her before the oversaturation starts.
