Former WEC standout Brock Larson has been cut from the UFC following back to back losses against Mike Pierce and Brian Foster. Watch Kalib Run with some of the details:
Following back-to-back losses Brock Larson has been cut by the UFC.
Brock Larson (26-4) re-entered the UFC when Zuffa folded the WEC welterweight division into the UFC.
In the WEC, Larson was a welterweight standout, going 4-1 in the promotion with his lone loss coming to WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit. At the time Larson came back to the UFC his record was 24-2 with his other loss coming to Jon Fitch in an early stint in the UFC.
After getting off to a 2-0 start in his second chance in the big show Larson was decisioned by Pierce and then manhandled and stopped at UFC 106 by Foster. It was an uncharacteristically bad showing for Larson who was beat up standing, reversed on the ground and pounded on from the bottom.
Larson has since informed MMAJunkie.com that he blames his status as an undercard fighter for his poor performances and hopes to land a new contract with Strikeforce or one of the major Japanese promotions.
