That's the word from Basketball Prospectus numbersmith John Gasaway, who crunched the digits and realized that the Big Ten has been markedly faster in 2009-10 than in any recent year thus far. The league will slow down once conference play starts -- Big Ten conference games often look like each coach is trying to out-slow the other -- but for someone who watches a lot of Big Ten college hoops, this is still very encouraging.
Of course, the next question is "If the Big Ten is so boring, then why do watch it?" Well, cigarettes are terrible for me, but I still smoke those. Perfect analogy! Your point is invalid.
