When I read this headline on Fark I thought, oh man, no way. (You know I'm being honest because that is about the least eloquent thought of all-time.) Really? After all he's put himself through, no way is Michael Vick that naive. He's not, is he? And at first, it sort of seemed like I was wrong:
Vick smiled when asked about the kind of reaction he expected from Falcons fans. "I'm going to get a great reaction from the crowd. It's going to be a standing ovation," he said, smiling. "It's still my city."
If you just quickly scan the quote, you might not notice the whole "smiling" thing, but that's a dead giveaway. Michael Vick fully expects to be lustily booed when he returns to Atlanta. He should expect nothing less. Which is actually a good sign: Vick is apparently more in touch with reality now than at any time in his entire NFL career.
