This is an observation that could become outdated as soon as the Patriots put some points on the board (or as soon as everyone starts to lose their pregame buzz) but for now, it works: Saints fans are insane tonight. The opening kickoff of Saints-Patriots on Monday night football was barely audible thanks to the crowd noise; Mike Tirico had to raise his voice to inform viewers Courtney Roby was set to receive. And with the Saints driving on their first possesion, the collected Superdome masses are really flexing the old pipes.
It's a cliche, but it's true here: This is a playoff atmosphere. When these Saints fans have something to root for, they're pretty great, huh?
