A lot of people thought there was an element of "addition-by-subtraction" when some of the players from last year left school. Paul Harris and Eric Devendorf probably won't be missed. (I'm guessing they'd welcome Jonny Flynn back in a heartbeat.)
All is not lost for Syracuse this season. Andy Rautins is a great shooter. Arinze Onuaku is a budding inside force. If the game against Le Moyne was any sort of preview, junior Wesley Johnson appears more than capable of scoring much of the scoring lost from last season. (He dropped 34 against Le Moyne.)
Back to the rap track. If you want to purchase it, head over to iTunes. For $1.98, you get both "Shut It Down" and "Shut It Down (Extended Version)." That's an extra 23 seconds of hip-hop goodness, in case you wondered. And it's for charity, so it's got that going for it.

This is a watse of an article and seems to be used as you to slap SU Basketball in the face. Horribly tacky writing, and not very witty at all. I guess that is why you are a blogger, and not an actual writer. Please, when SU makes the NCAA tournament, keep your back handed compliments to yourself.

"slap SU basketball in the face"
… really? I talked up the positives about the season, noted the song is going to charity and made a joke about them losing to a Division II team.
That constitutes a slap in the face? [/Checks member profile …] Ah, I see, you’re a Cuse fan who is feeling a little sensitive today. Now that makes a little more sense. Shake it off, you’ll have better days.

This might be exactly what Syracuse needed. They may play with a chip on their shoulder now.

AW78………….. RELAX……………. I was there last night and they played badly. Better to happen now than when it counts. Could be a blessing in disguise.
I saw nothing wrong with what was written above….

"There’s good news on two fronts: 1. The game on Tuesday night meant
nothing. 2. They have a coach who can rap. I cannot undersell the
importance of that skill.

Yes I am a lil upset, it was a crappy loss. But the lines above were a back handed compliment and I saw them as that.
There is nothing, I guess, fundamentally wrong with what he wrote. It just does not really serve a purpose. He kinda picks on Murphy for rapping and SU for the loss. No huge deal, but seeing how it is for charity, it definitely could have been written in a more appropriate manner.
That is all. I will admit I am sour after the loss, and that may be clouding my judgment.
