If a WR isn’t getting the ball, then his numbers are sure to be a fantasy dud. One way to project WR performance is to follow the number of times they’re targeted by the QB. From week-to-week fortunes can change, but if the QB is looking for your fantasy receivers, you can trust to play them each week.
Last week’s target leader? Reggie Wayne.
Not that it should come as a surprise, but the Indianapolis Colts’ Reggie Wayne was the most targeted wide receiver in Week 8, logging a whopping 20 looks! This is impressive, so much that it leads all wideouts for any given week. The previous season chart-toppers had 17 (Andre Johnson, Week 2; Randy Moss, Week 3).
Lots of other target stats tucked away in this KFFL article.
