Update: Scott Has Broken Collarbone

WDSU-TV reports that LSU running back Charles Scott has a broken collarbone. It hasn’t yet been determined how much time Scott will lose to the injury.

For LSU, this development adds more injury to the insult and injury that were already added Saturday. The Tigers have lost out on a chance to play for the national title, and the team’s sudden epidemic of injuries earn an exasperated reaction from our LSU blog And The Valley Shook:

How many people got hurt for us in that game? Peterson 3 times, Al Woods, Ciron Black, Charles Scott, Jordan Jefferson. Anyone else?

Alabama's Charles Scott Leaves Game With Collarbone Injury

In the third quarter of No. 9 LSU's game at No. 3 Alabama, Tigers running back Charles Scott left the game with a collarbone injury.

Scott had racked up 459 rushing yards this season, and added 83 more Saturday prior to the injury. Check back for details on Scott's status once they're made available.
