Over at NBA.com today, their power rankings feature a rather surprising team at the top—the Phoenix Suns. And however crazy it sounds, with an impressive showing so far on an extensive East Coast road trip, the 6-1 Suns have a pretty compelling case.
Over at Bright Side Of The Sun, they ask just how good are the 6-1 Suns? It’s a good read, and a reminder that Phoenix might be better than anyone thought possible. They’ve got Steve Nash, who somehow gets better every year. They’ve got Amare Stoudemire playing in a contract year, which makes him about ten times as valuable. And then, they’ve got guys like Jared Dudley, Channing Frye, Jason Richardson, and Leandro Barbosa, all of whom are really, really solid role players. Did I mention Amare’s in a contract year? The Suns are in good shape.
