Andre Agassi Is A Master Marketer

First it was the crystal meth revelations. Then it was the close-up with Katie Couric on "60 Minutes" Sunday night. Today, Andre Agassi is again on the accidental promotional grind, courtesy of an Entertainment Weekly excerpt that includes this amazing sentence about Agassi's father, Mike:

''Violent by nature...he keeps an ax handle in his car. He leaves the house with a handful of salt and pepper in each pocket, in case he's in a street fight and needs to blind someone.''

Sporting Blog's Chris Littmann notes a few other famous proponents of the pocket sand technique. What I want to know is: Why would you keep an ax handle in your car? More specifically, why just the handle? Why not the entire ax? And if you really want a non-lethal blunt instrument on your person, why wouldn't you go with the favorite of Grand Theft Auto characters everywhere: the baseball bat?

These excerpts keep leaving me with more questions than answers. See? Told you Agassi was good at marketing.

BallGameMaster...

No doubt that Andre Agassi was honored as “Grand Slam” running for a longest time…

The world of sports are much grateful of having him but not as much to all his fans that’s been supportive even until this days.
