As SB Nation's resident Syracuse blogger, you'll excuse me if I'm a little biased but...Jim Boeheim is a really good coach. Like, really good. Whatever the reason...be it his curmudgeonly exterior, his whiny rants, his wardrobe or his historically-easy scheduling (which isn't really as cupcakey as its been made out to be) Jimmy B has always been on the outside looking in on "greatest coaches of all time" discussions.
Syracuse's win tonight was Boeheim's 800th, all at SU. It's just one stat out of many and alone it only says so much. Critics can poke holes and spin it. It's only when you put up alongside his other notable stats...twenty-eight 20-win seasons, 8 regular-season Big East titles, 5 Big East Championships, 11 Sweet Sixteens, 3 Final Fours (in three different decades) and a National Championship...only then is when you realize his place among the all-time greats.

National Title
Though it came at my expense, if Texas had to lose to someone, I was glad it was so Boeheim got his national title. Always liked him, and worried he wouldn’t get enough credit.
You ain't hurt.
