Thankfully, one of the more bizarre college basketball offseasons in recent memory is now over (Coach Cal, Rick Pitino: looking in your direction), and it's time to get on with the games. Over the first four nights of the season, viewers lucky enough to have access to ESPNU and Big Ten Network will get to see the "Regional Rounds" of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. These games have no bearing on the championship chances of the four host schools, as they'll be in New York next Thursday and Friday to play for the title, even if they do slip up over the next few nights. But since the teams have to play the games, here's a rundown of what's on tap on this first night of the season (all times are Eastern).
I'll be providing updates and commentary throughout at least the first three games on the left rail of our NCAA basketball page, and I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts as the evening rolls on.
