Carlos Dunlap (whose father is a bail bondsman, did you know? Isn’t that droll?) has been released from jail, though he won’t be returning to the Gators any time soon. Making the only logical move available to him, though still a little surprising because this is Florida we’re talking about, Urban Meyer announced after Tuesday’s practice that Dunlap will be serving an indefinite suspension.
The Gators aren't out of options at end -- Dunlap's likely replacement, Justin Trattou, has 14 tackles, a sack, and an interception in 2009 -- but replacing the defensive MVP of last year's BCS title game will give Alabama's offensive options some much-needed breathing room.
