This is the second quote from Michael Vick in two days (here's the first) that seems cringeworthy at first, until you read the actual story. To wit:
"I wish I could have a dog right now more than anything in the world," Vick admitted while acknowledging that his judge has banned him from owning dogs after a lifetime spent with the animals.
Ahhh! Dude! Do you realize how much you freaked people out? You owning dogs again? Do not even plant that notion in people's heads, man. That is, unless you're talking about how sorry you are that you hurt all those dogs as some sort of a Humane Society-organized public function with a bunch of kids around and -- what's that? That's exactly what you were doing?
The school kids from across Newark appeared to hear his message.
"I think it's(dogfighting) bad, you shouldn't hurt any living creature at all," an 8-year-old said.
That. Is. Adorable. Nevermind, Michael. Whatever gets your message across to cute, anonymous little 8-year-olds, go for it.
