A week ago, we were knees-deep in Florida-Alabama. This Saturday? In the way of football, we have Army-Navy, the Division II championship game, and the Division III semifinals. And, uh...this ain't exactly Florida-Alabama. This is from a live blog of one of the Division III semifinals between Linfield and Wisconsin Whitewater:
On a chilly Saturday morning, Linfield fans of all ages have found a warm refuge in Ice Auditorium to catch Linfield's semifinal road game in Wisconsin on the big screen.
[...] The picture is pretty grainy and they don't display downs or the time.
Awesome. Seriously, that is admirably hardcore. In case you were wondering, I happen to have a great view of the game, as I graciously volunteered to open my back yard as a venue. It's only about 20 yards long and there's a tree in the middle of it, but you won't hear them complain. In fact...HEY! They just threw the football through my window! Damn kids!
In all seriousness, at least these lesser-division folks know how to put together a playoff system.
