At halftime on Thursday, the Browns held a lead on a Steelers team that had previously won the last 12 match-ups. Browns coach Eric Mangini was apparently so fearful of losing the lead that he threatened to lock his players out of the locker room if they didn't deliver.
[Josh] Cribbs couldn’t get over the details of Mangini ordering the team to win.
“I mean, he said, ‘Don’t come back in this locker room without a win. Just don’t come. I’m going to lock the door.’ We all looked at him.”
His players held on to win. I suppose they believed him, and rightly so. Mangini, of course, has the necessary keys because he's training for the janitorial position he will probably soon be demoted to.
