The Latest In Unnecessary From Jerry Jones: 3D Football

Jerry Jones, apparently not pleased with the jumbotron in Cowboys Stadium -- you know, the one that is a 160-by-72-foot HD-television (the largest int he world, mind you) -- decided to broadcast Sunday's game in 3D. Fans who attended the game in Cowboys Stadium that were lucky enough to watch an NFL game in live 3D on the field were also lucky enough to watch an NFL game ... in live 3D ... on a television screen. Um, or unlucky.

Almost immediately, I wanted a Dramamine. Watching the 3D video board was like riding the Zipper immediately after eating a funnel cake at the carnival in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Apparently, the annoying, nauseating feeling was shared throughout the sellout crowd.

With 8 minutes, 10 seconds left in the quarter, the video board showing a single, enthusiastically cheering Cowboys cheerleader suddenly reverted back to 2D high-def.

"Yo dawg I herd you like 3D football, so I put 3D football in your HD-TV so you can watch football in 3D while you watch football 3D."
