Unsurprisingly, Brian Kelly Scorned by Cincinnati, Welcomed by Golden Domers

Sometimes, thinking that all in this world is infinite and that Cincinnati might actually have been destined for perennial BCS greatness, nutty fans overreact. Brian Kelly sums up the perils of building a basketball school into a football power, then leaving, in one tweet.

On the bright side: He's already a student favorite in South Bend, mostly because he's not Charlie Weis. Entrepreneurial students have already come up with the perfect shirt to welcome Kelly to town, and are selling it through Facebook. The front has "Brian Kelly" in the familiar Burger King script. The back plays on the same concept:

Have it your way, Notre Dame students.

Grow up boys Kelly just got a better job. Cincy will NEVER BE A POWER HOUSE. florida is gonna run up and down the field on them anyway with or without him.

All things considered, Weis would have been happier overall if he kept a grad student mistress in an apartment somewhere. I mean, just look at him now.

Weis can afford an extra slice of cheese on his burger. 18 mil is a lot of cheese. One day when ND decides to quit hiring mercenaries, they can find their own coach without feeding on the rest of the CFB world.

I dont blame the man for taking the ND job but I think that it is a shame that he wont coach cincinatti in the sugar bowl This is a rare chance for a team like them to get a shot at a team as high a caliber as Florida.

Let the Cinci bashing begin!

i’m a huge bearcats fan but this incident is embarassing.  kelly raised the program to new heights and helped show the school what needs to be done to at least give this program a chance to be a part of the big-time.  he was bush legue on thursday with the way everything was handled at the team banquet, but his positives far outweight his lousy judgment on that one day.  now he’s off to notre dame where they don’t egg houses, they just sucker-punch quarterbacks.  you see, we all have jerks among us.

Hey I thought, based on what the UM and other WVU bashers have stated over the last 3 years, that the only crazy, wacko, backwards, lunatic, demented, immature fans were from West Virginia!  Kelly’s house had to have been egged by WV fans in disguise as Cinci fans.

On a serious note, this is bad and all that a small minority of Cinci fans have done is open the floodgates for the insults as shown above for all Cinci fans.  They will all be going back in the archives of the the WVU/Rod saga to find the insults they will use.  The insulters during that boondoggle neever seemed to have much of an imagination!

I will find it very interesting to see what the insulters from ND will have to say if 5 years down the road if another Univeristy with money needs a coach and Kelly leaves the ND program high and dry to coach for that University.

Chill out WV, this act of lunacy in Cinci does nothing to marginalize your nuttiness and psycho-ex tendencies.  The fact that you are even bringing up Michigan in a Cinci article shows how unstable you bunch still are. Why?  I have no idea.  It’s not like your team has fallen off and MI is playing in the Rose Bowl.

Oh, chill out Cinci.  Enjoy your NFL team.

Thank you "umich" you have made my point perfectly clear!

One other point you may not realize that you have made is the fact that it takes more than a coach to make a program!

Once again, Thank You!

I hope who ever egged his house is caught and hung.

The state of Ohio is a garbage can that needs to be emptied.

Unfortunately, West Virginia is full.

WOW Lou Lou, how long did it take you to come up with that comment?  I bet you thought about that all night.  You really cut the WV and Cinci fans to the bone with that one, how will we ever recover!

You are so articulate and have such away with the English language, I’m really impressed!  Why, I bet your first grade teacher would be so proud of you at this moment!

And as I thanked "umich" for helping me make my previous point, let me also congatulate and thank you also!  I would venture to say that comments like these make you no different from those who egged Kelly’s house.  I would also be willing to bet that if Kelly pulls the same stunt on ND you will be one of the first egg throwers.  You need to either grow up or go back to the kid’s sports pages!  Your comment is nothing but garbage.

You do the math. Or was that cut from West Virginia’s education system because you all ran out of fingers and toes? Nevermind, inbreeding adds more…

Lou Lou, WHAT!!!!!  I’m really sorry now that I even brought it up.  I knew it was pointless from the begining, but it seemed like it would be fun.  This post has to take them all on being the most sensless post that I have ever seen.  The only garbage I see are your post not just here but on other topics as well.

My statement, "I bet you thought about that all night", was a rhetorical statement.  And so you will understand and just in case this word is too big for you, the word rhetorical is defined as; used for, belonging to, or concerned with mere style or effect.

Respond to this if you please, but I’m finished with you.  I refuse to waste my time responding to your immature and senseless post again.  But let me once again thank you for making my point  so much stronger than you already had, that I would hve never thought was possible!
