Vince Young Full Participant At Friday Practice

Vince Young returned to practice as a full participant on Friday, and is expected to play on Sunday despite being listed as questionable on the injury report, according to The Tennessean.

Young had practiced on a limited basis on Thursday, splitting first-team snaps with backup Kerry Collins, after injuring his hamstring last week on a scramble against the Rams. The 6-7 Titans take on the 7-6 Dolphins this weekend in what is essentially a wildcard elimination game.

Vince Young Returns To Practice On Thursday

After sitting out the past few days due to the hamstring injury he suffered last Sunday against the Rams, the Tennessean reports that Titans quarterback Vince Young returned to the practice field on Thursday in a limited basis.

Young split practice reps with backup Kerry Collins, and the Titans staff were cagey about whether he would play this weekend. Head coach Jeff Fisher did say that Young moved well in practice on Thursday, although Young himself declined to say whether he would definitely play this weekend.

The 6-7 Titans take on the 7-6 Dolphins in a game Tennessee needs to keep its faint playoff hopes alive.

Hamstring Injury Forces Vince Young To Miss Wednesday Practice

The Tennessean reports that Vince Young missed the Titans’ practice on Wednesday, as he recovers from the hamstring strain he suffered last Sunday against the Rams. Titans head coach Jeff Fisher had said earlier that Young’s injury was “mild”, and that he would likely play but be limited this week.

Backup Kerry Collins took the first-team reps in Young’s absence. The Titans play the 7-6 Dolphins this week, making it essentially an elimination game for both teams.

Vince Young's Hamstring Looks 'Good,' Status Uncertain For Week 15

The results from an MRI on Vince Young's knee came back "good," but the Titans are still considering him day-to-day, with his status for Sunday's game against the Dolphins uncertain.

"We want him to practice, we want him to play,'' Fisher said of Young, who has guided the Titans to a 6-1 record since becoming the starter on Nov. 1. "It is a collective decision and he has a lot to do with it since it's his hamstring, not to be facetious.

" ... We are not going to risk him to further injury. It is likely he'll be limited if he plays, it is unlikely he'll be 100 percent, but still there is different levels. We are encouraged and he'll be day to day.''

Fisher was quoted as saying that the injury is a "mild" strain.

After Young underwent a series of tests today on his hamstring, Fisher added that even if he does play on Sunday, he'd most likely be limited.

Vince Young Leaves Game After Injuring Hamstring

After being questionable for last week's game because of a gimpy knee, Titans quarterback Vince Young was forced to leave the game due to a hamstring injury, according to the Tennessean. Young hurt himself on a 44-yard scramble in the second quarter, and did not return, as the Titans cruised to a 47-7 blowout of the lowly Rams

After the game, Young seemed light-hearted, and Tennessee head coach Jeff Fisher described the injury as "mild". Still, the team did not say whether he would play next week when the 6-7 Titans take on the 7-6 Dolphins, in what is a de facto playoff elimination game.

The Titans have been 6-1 with Young under center, while they began the season 0-6 with Kerry Collins starting.
