First thing's first: Lawerence Taylor is the most badass athlete in the history of badassery. Ray Lewis and Shawne Merriman should be paying him royalty money once-a-month.
Once, during a pickup basketball game at UNC, LT didn't like a foul call. So he tore the rim off the hoop, put it around his neck like a necklace, and walked out of the gym without saying a word. So yeah: when LT speaks, we should all listen.
Today, via Sports Radio Interviews, he offered some advice to Tiger Woods:
Sometimes life deals problems. If I was Tiger, I would probably come out and make a statement. Maybe forget about golf for a couple of months and work on his family relationships because it is not going to take long to prepare… You can’t get no better than him. ...Listen I hope he does get back. The first thing I would do if I get back on the golf course, I would go looking for Jesper Parnevik and I would beat his ass… There is a line that you don’t cross over.
"Come out and make statement" ... "Beat Jesper Parnevik's ass." Um, can Lawerence Taylor be my life coach, please? Although no matter what he says to Tiger, nothing will ever top this scene from Any Given Sunday (NSFW, chills):
