Bruce Gradkowski, who is 2-2 as the Raiders starting QB since replacing JaMarcus Russell, tore ligaments in both knees Sunday against the Redskins. If he can't play this week against the Broncos, this may be happening:
Cable would go with former starter JaMarcus Russell or Charlie Frye, who hasn’t played this season. That Cable would even consider Frye shows just how disillusioned he is with Russell. If Frye starts Sunday, it portends the Raiders’ willingness to cut Russell after the season. Russell said last week he wouldn’t consider taking a pay cut from the $9.45 million he is scheduled to earn next season.
That's right: Russell may be leapfrogged on the depth chart by Charlie Frye and relegated to emergency quarterback. Frye has played in three games in the last four seasons

Only in Oakland
The Raiders obviously need a new QB coach/ offensive coordinator. Russell has some the physical gifts and he was capable of grasping the offense at LSU. So run the football and call high percentage passes. Put the man in a position to succeed and watch his confidence grow. They’d be crazy to cut him or even bother with Charlie Frye. The Raiders must live with their draft choice and realize that great players arent just discovered … they are DEVELOPED.

Frye played
in 13 games in 2006, 1 game in 2007, and 2 games 2008. He wasn’t any good, but he did play.

JaMarcus Russell
JaMarcus Russell is the smartest guy in football he got $17 million in his pocket, so he can set on the bench and think about what settlement he will take to be cut from the team and live a good life in Louisiana and attend all the LSU games and explain to the young players how to get the money.
Now Russell has plenty of time to think about what team he really wants to play for like maybe the Rams they need a quarterback and JaMarcus wants more money, they will sing him for minimum wage he plays real good and the rams give him a big fat bonus where ever he goes that will be the case
