Good news for the Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald could be back on the field this Sunday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the MRI on Fitzgerald’s knee did not reveal any ligament damage, and only showed a bone bruise. Fitzgerald is reportedly walking without a limp, and could be back for the team’s game this week against the Lions.
Fitzgerald left the Cardinals’ Monday night game against the Niners last week after a defender landed on his knee, although he did return for the fourth quarter. He did not catch a pass after coming back. The Cardinals can clinch the NFC West this week with a win over Detroit, and a San Francisco loss.

The Cardinals may have suffered more than just an embarrassing loss on Monday night, they may also have lost All-Pro wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald to injury. The AP reports that Fitzgerald left the Cardinal's game against the Niners at the beginning of the third quarter after a San Francisco defender landed on his leg. The Cardinals described his injury as a "knee sprain". Fitzgerald went back to the locker room for treatment, before returning at the end of the third quarter. Fitzgerald was held without a catch for the rest of the game.
While the fact that Fitzgerald was able to return to the game is certainly encouraging, Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said that the team will have Fitzgerald further evaluated on Tuesday to determine the severity of his injury.

Larry Fitzgerald Says He Will Play On Sunday After Practicing On Limited Basis On Wednesday
Larry Fitzgerald practiced Wednesday on a limited basis, and promised to play on Sunday when the Cardinals travel to Detroit, according to Ken Somers of the Arizona Republic.
Fitzgerald suffered a strained MCL and bone bruise on his right knee, after a 49ers player landed on it during the Cardinal’s Monday night game last week. While Fitzgerald appeared confident that he would suite up this weekend, head coach Ken Whisenhunt was more guarded, telling reporters that the team would continue to monitor Fitzgerald’s progress throughout the week.
The Cardinals can clinch their second consecutive NFC West crown with a win and a Niners loss this weekend.
