The 1.8 rating for The U, the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary about the rise of the Miami Hurricanes in the 1980s, was the highest ever for any ESPN documentary. (By contrast, The Greatest Game Ever pulled a 1.4 in December of 2008.) This clearly illustrates what people want in a story, which is passion, adventure, an outlaw spirit, and the occasional run-in with the law. Or, to state things more briefly: a story where Michael Irvin features prominently.

interesting
did you know notre dame and miami shared the 2009 AFCA Academic Achievement Award for being the only 2 school to graduate 100% of their 2002 incoming class. but if you like college football players going to prison, just check out gainesville- 25 arrests over the past 3 years compared to 1 at miami (and that player has since transferred).
