Anthony Randolph, All Other Warriors Players On The Trading Block

The value of most of the Golden State Warriors' roster is akin to the kind of stuff you find at a yard sale, with Corey Maggette being the toaster you haven't used in five years and Vladimir Radmanovic being the doll your kid stopped playing with two decades ago.

That is, with a few exceptions.  Anthony Randolph, the prized, slender 20-year old forward that makes League Pass addicts swoon, had been among them.  But after a poor start to the season for him and the team, the Warriors are now making him and all their other sorta-valuable commodities (Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and Anthony Morrow) available, according to Marcus Thompson of the Contra Coast Times.

Just a few weeks ago — when all the drama about Monta Ellis’ agent meeting with the team to potentially discuss a trade — I was told by a trusted team source that Randolph, along with rookie guard Stephen Curry and second-year shooting guard Anthony Morrow, were all untouchable. Now, I’m told by a Warriors insider that no one is untouchable. Everyone is on the market.

Even Randolph, the potential-laden second-year man the Warriors touted as the centerpiece of their young core.

Even Curry, the prized No. 7 pick who the Warriors coveted so much they reportedly passed on Amare Stoudemire

Even Ellis, who perhaps could become the Warriors first All-Star since 1997.

It smells like the Warriors brass is speaking loudly and carrying a small stick, because you wouldn't think literally everyone is actually on the trading block.  But since this is the Warriors, we can't even be too sure of that.  When Randolph is traded as part of a package for someone like Elton Brand, I won't be surprised.

The irony, of course, is that they could have traded for Amare Stoudemire in the fall, while only giving up Curry, Biedrins, Wright and Belinelli. They passed on that trade, and now they’re sticking their heads in the sand like dumb-asses, wondering where they can get a great player.

Basically, every news you now hear out of the Warriors is bad. For Christ’s sake, two of the five players in their starting lineup (Ellis and Radmanovic) once lost millions of dollars in a fine for lying about their preposterous injuries — one was on a scooter, the other was snowboarding.
