Vinny Cerrato resiged today as the Redskins VP of Football Operations, news that is about five years too late, but thrilling to Redskins fans everywhere nonetheless. Before he left, he said his goodbyes via a press release made public by the team. Let's see if you can catch the glaring omission from this part:
"I've had the pleasure of working with some great coaches such as Joe Gibbs, Greg Blache and Sherman Lewis, great people on the Redskins staff, and, most especially, some of the best professional football players in the world. I wish them all the best," Cerrato said. "I've also had the privilege of working for a franchise supported by the most loyal fans in the NFL."
That's right: No mention of Jim Zorn in that list of coaches he's worked with, yet he went out of his way to mention the Skins current coordinators. Not that Zorn should be listed in a sequence following the words "great coaches," but that's some serious passive-aggressive bitchiness, especially considering Cerrato is the man who hired Zorn.
