The good news about the Sacramento Kings' $1 beer giveaway is that it got more fans out than usual. The Kings, who haven't drawn all that well in recent years, got 16,579 people to come to last night's game, and while it wasn't a sellout, it was pretty close.
The bad news? Those fans spent nearly as much time standing in line to get beer than they did watching the game. According to News 10 in Sacramento, people were standing in line for as long as half an hour to take advantage of the deal.
The concession stand lines early in the game translated to a 30-minute wait for fans looking to take advantage of the beer promotion.
To this, I say, whatever. Fans came out, got to see an exciting game and nobody got hurt. You can't ask for too much more than that.

Beer lines were mad long
I got cheap Kings tickets at www.inseats.com and thought with $1 beers it would be a great night for pretty cheap….but had to wait the entire second qtr on the beer line, it was rediculous!
