The past couple of weeks has given us top 10 lists of the year, top 10 lists of the decade and top 10 lists of the top 10 lists. Which, sure, are often easy and enjoyable reads, but they all have one fatal flaw: words.
Way too many words, in fact. Which is why the work being done at Boston Globe's Big Shots is fantastic -- they're highlighting the Top 100 Best Sports Photographs of 2009 in a three-part series. Part I and Part II are out already, with Part III due out Thursday. Do enjoy.
