Via Tom Ziller at FanHouse, we bring you video evidence of what is surely one of the most bizarre, disgusting injuries ever. On Friday night, the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki drove to the net against the Rockets' Carl Landry. Nowitzki unintentionally knocked Landry so hard in his grill that...wait a minute. If you're squeamish or have a weak constitution, you might not want to keep reading this. Are you good? Okay.
Landry's teeth came out and got stuck in Nowitzki's elbow. That's not a euphemism. THAT IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
Both players had every reason to lose their marbles. Landry's teeth were not only knocked clean out, they were gone without a trace. And Nowitzki had another man's teeth in his arm. To his credit, Landry played it cool, walking calmly to the Rockets' bench as though he had to go blow his nose. One thing worth noting is that Landry was slapped with the foul. This is the NBA, folks. You can't go implanting your teeth into other peoples' elbows all willy-nilly and expect to get away with it!
