Super Sleepers For Deep Leagues

If you’re playing in a deep league with 16 teams, maybe even 20, that allow large benches and multiple players at a position for the active gameday roster, finding any help on the waiver wire this late in the season is hard to do. Here are three guys that are super-sleepers. We’re not saying they’ll help you, but if you’re desperate…

Brandon Jackson – He was once thought to be the franchise’s RB of the future but was completely overshadowed by the previously-unknown Ryan Grant. While Jackson only has 69 rushing yards on 23 carries, he has established himself as Ryan Grant’s backup. With the Packers offense rolling, it’s critical to grab Jackson as a handcuff if you have Grant.

Jabar Gaffney – Eddie Royal? Brandon Stokely? Believe it or not, Jabar Gaffney has quietly become the Broncos second-leading receiver with 294 receiving yards on only 29 catches. He doesn’t have any touchdowns, but he’s become a consistent receiver. If Brandon Marshall gets injured (or fights some furniture again), Gaffney would become a hot commodity as the fantasy season heads into the playoffs.

Danny Amendola – The Rams are still terrible even with Kyle Boller at QB (raise your hand if you’re surprised by that) but their young WR corps is gaining critical experience. Danny Amendola has been hot lately with 116 receiving yards over the past two games. He’s especially valuable in keeper leagues if you can wait until the Rams finally draft a decent QB.
