There are several ways to know the above fact. You can watch the Bears play football. You can talk to a Chicago Bears fan who watches the Bears play football. You can know it intuitively, like how a dog knows that "licking itself" equals "cleaning" without you, the human owner, approximating a demonstration. The Bears? Bad at offense? That's downright instinctual.
