There was a time when Roy Jones Jr. was regarded as the best boxer in the world. Was is key: His TKO loss to Danny Green in Sydney would suggest that he might not be the best boxer in any given room he passes through.
Jones throws fewer than twenty punches, buckles after the first clean shot he takes, and generally looks like a shadow of his former self, or even a shadow of that shadow. Mercifully, this ends before the first round is over.
But the best part of the video is the announcer, clearly excited about an Aussie toppling one of the great boxers in recent memory. He fires off two magnificent bits of hype: "When you beat a legend, you become a legend, and Danny Green is on the verge of history!" and "Danny Green conquers Australia -- and the world!"
If only a win over that Roy Jones Jr. deserved them.
