Remember Carl Landry’s injury from a few days ago? Watch it one more time, just because.
Damn. One of the most bizarre, grotesque injuries you will ever see. Any injury that involves teeth is generally cringe-inducing, but good heavens. That’s some Joe Theisman-type stuff. Like a stunt from a bad action movie.
But while the rest of us fight off a gag reflex, Carl Landry’s keeping it copacetic. He’s had his teeth knocked out before (by Carlos Boozer), and it’s really not that big of a deal. Nothing that seven hours of dental surgery can’t fix.
And last night, after sitting through seven hours of dental surgery, he went out and scored 27 points in a win over the L.A. Clippers. Carl Landry, just that much tougher than the rest of us.
Matt Stafford, you’ve got some company. Carl Landry is a man.
