There is nothing wrong with your computer. Do not attempt to adjust the display. The Northwestern Wildcats are indeed ranked in the AP college basketball poll. For the first time since 1969.
↵On the scale of improbable events, this is up there with dogs and cats living together. Consider that just a few weeks ago Northwestern attempted 47 three-pointers -- in a single game! While we expressed our admiration for a team so willing to flaunt the conventions of respectable basketball, and defiantly chuck up shots from distance like Mark Madsen tanking games, the question remains: can such a team really be among the 25 best in the nation?
↵SBN's Sippin' On Purple adopts a much more cautious stance, laying out the Wildcats' blueprint for making the NCAA tourney. In the meantime, Northwestern fans should just enjoy being ranked. You never know when it'll be another forty years before that happens again.
