Craig James Out Of Alamo Bowl Booth Following Texas Tech Abuse Accusations

Via SI’s Richard Deitsch, the inevitable fallout begins on the ESPN side: Craig James will not be calling the Michigan State-Texas Tech Alamo Bowl, which at this point is sort of a shame from a dramatic standpoint, in the wake of his son Adam's accusations of abuse against Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach.

The question is...

was he already not planning on announcing the game or is he only stepping away because this is now public. Cause if it’s the latter, that’s even weirder…one wonders if he would have taken some thinly-veiled shots at Leach…alas…

I would imagine that it would have to be the latter but since his son plays on the team, even if it wasn’t public I would think that James would have held his tongue.
