Mikael Samuelsson played for Sweden in the 2006 Olympics and scored one goal and four points total for the Gold Medal winning squad. This year, he has been left off the roster and has some strong feelings about it.
"I pretty much have one comment and maybe I'll regret it," Samulesson said. "But they can go f*** themselves. That's what I really think."
Samuelsson has played fairly well for the Canucks this season, with 10 goals and 24 points in 39 games. His omission from the roster for players that are currently injured like Daniel Alfredsson makes someone scratch their head, but his reaction to being left off the roster should be telling for the Swedish Hockey Federation. Samuelsson is a type of player that the Swedes want on the ice, but now will be sitting at home.
